October 23, 2019 - Arlington, Texas – Sutton Frost Cary LLP (SFC) hosted their Annual Day of Service on October 23, 2019. The firm closed the Arlington and Fort Worth locations so that all firm employees could volunteer their time for the day. This year, the firm split into three different groups volunteering at the Green Oaks School, Habitat for Humanity Hood County and the North Texas Food Bank in Plano.

The Green Oaks School group started the day working on the beautification of the landscaping around the school’s building. Alongside with volunteers from The Green Oaks School, they pulled up all of the older landscaping, tilled up all of the flower beds and planted all new landscaping.

The North Texas Food Bank group worked putting together boxed meals to assist those who were affected by the recent tornadoes in the area in the morning. During the afternoon shift, they unloaded three pallets of food and made 320 hydration/snack boxes. That equates to 1,920 pounds of food and 1,600 meals.

The Habitat for Humanity group spent the day constructing walls and building a house alongside other volunteers with the organization.

It was the perfect day to give back and all the groups thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to next year’s annual service day!
