May 5, 2023 – Arlington, Texas - SFC LLP recently volunteered with the TXCPA Fort Worth Chapter’s #Adulting Balancing the Checks of Life program. As a firm, SFC volunteered and managed several booths throughout the day by helping students navigate through life as an adult. #Adulting Balancing the Checks of Life is a financial literacy program that was created to give high schools a hands-on glimpse into life as an adult, managing income and paying bills but in a fun, alternative reality environment. Its inaugural year, the program reached over 100 students, and this year the program was able to accommodate 400 students. This is the second year the TXCPA Fort Worth Chapter has offered this program to local Arlington ISD students, and this is also the second year for SFC to volunteer.

SFC would like to congratulate and acknowledge the continued dedication of Rachel Glasser, Audit Manager, to the #Adulting program. The #Adulting program development was led by Rachel Glasser and continues to grow with the support of volunteers. SFC would also like to acknowledge the following SFC professionals who heavily volunteered with the program, Drew Madsen, Partner, Jennifer Guse, Tax Senior Manager and Alexandra MacMartin, Audit Senior.

SFC looks forward to working with the program again this year and continuing to support the TXCPA Fort Worth Chapter’s mission!
