Emily Hill, CPA, has been promoted from senior audit manager to audit director. Emily joined the SFC team in March 2007 as an audit associate and has over 17 years of experience in public accounting. Her experience includes leading and directing audit teams, developing and implementing audit strategies, engaging with key stakeholders, and providing authoritative guidance on complex accounting and auditing issues to ensure the successful execution of high-level audit engagements. Emily received her Bachelors and Masters of Business Administration in Accounting from Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas. Emily has been on the board of directors of the Miracle League of DFW since 2018 and is currently the Treasurer.
Alex MacMartin, CPA, has been promoted from audit senior to audit manager. Alex joined the SFC team in October 2019 as an audit associate and has four years of experience in public accounting. Her experience includes leading and overseeing the audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, reviewing financial statements, and providing valuable insights to improve internal controls and financial reporting accuracy. Alex received her Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, and completed her Accounting Certificate from Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.
Zuly Velazquez, CPA, has been promoted from audit supervisor to audit manager. Joining the SFC team as an audit associate in January 2019, Zuly departed in September 2019, and recently returned in March 2023 as an audit supervisor. With over seven years in public accounting, she has honed her skills in overseeing and managing audits, conducting thorough financial examinations, and offering insightful guidance to the team. Zuly holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and a Masters of Professional Accounting, both earned at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Jose Zuniga has been promoted from audit associate to audit senior. Jose joined the SFC team in February 2020 as an audit intern. His experience includes performing audit procedures, conducting detailed testing of financial transactions and controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and assisting in the preparation of comprehensive audit reports. Jose received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and his Masters of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. Jose is currently studying for the CPA exam.
Brandon Hays has been promoted from audit associate to audit senior. SFC welcomed Brandon in January 2022 and he has 2 years of experience in public accounting. His experience includes performing audit procedures, conducting detailed testing of financial transactions and controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and assisting in the preparation of comprehensive audit reports. Brandon received his Bachelors of Business Administration of Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas, and received a Masters of Accountancy from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, Texas. Brandon is currently studying for the CPA exam.
