John Sutton

John is Of Counsel in the firm of Sutton Frost Cary LLP. John’s experience includes several years in the Dallas office of KPMG LLP, one of the largest accounting and consulting firms in the world, and his expertise is primarily in the areas of audit, tax and consulting services. He has participated on engagements ranging in size from the smallest individual tax returns to audits of large multinational corporations. John has experience with both privately- and publicly-held organizations. He has also participated on numerous other consulting engagements including mergers and acquisitions.

Clients served by John include corporations, S corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, individuals, estates and trusts, and various nonprofit organizations. His industry experience includes manufacturing, real estate, commodities trading, health care, waste management, automobile leasing, franchising, airline transportation, funeral homes, oil and gas, colleges and universities and various other nonprofit organizations. He has supervised both agreed-upon procedures engagements and attestation engagements and has participated on engagements involving examinations, reviews, and compilations of both historical and prospective financial information.

John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and other state and local professional organizations. He is a graduate of Leadership Arlington and member of Accent Arlington. He is also a past director of the Mid-Cities Association of Certified Public Accountants.

John is an honors graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. He has three daughters, Kelsie, Carly and Emma, and his hobbies include running.
