October 29, 2016 Arlington, Texas - Sutton Frost Cary LLP (SFC) participated this past weekend in the Annual Chili Cook Off at the University of Texas at Arlington. The event was hosted by Beta Alpha Psi and The Accounting Society at the University of Texas at Arlington.
This year we went with 80’s Aerobics for our theme. Throughout the day our booth hosted fitness classes taught by Leah, Olivia, Sarah, Ellen, Jennifer, Courtney and Drew with the aid of 80’s aerobics videos playing in the background.
Olivia served as the official chef for the event and cooked an excellent batch of chili. We even had lines of people waiting to try her chili!
We were able to successfully pull out a win during our heat in tug of war thanks to Drew, Sarah, Olivia & Jason. We came in a close 2nd place in the lemon spoon challenge with the assistance of Leah and Ellen. We walked right up to 3rd place in the three-legged race with the help of Olivia and Leah. Lastly, with the assistance of Drew and Sarah we were able to come in a strong 3rd place in the sack race!
This year we proudly took home several awards including 1st place for Best Costume for Drew as “Richard Simmons”, 1st place for Best Chili Name for “Don’t Sweat the Chili” and 3rd Place for Best Spirit/ Booth Design.
